ReadiRide, a service offered by the JTA through Owl Inc., provides affordable, on-call transportation to customers in 11 Jacksonville communities. Customers can choose when and where they want to be picked up and dropped off!
 
Jacksonville Food Pantries

There are a number of food banks and pantries located in Jacksonville that provide free food, meals, and other aid to people in need. Some locations also offer additional aid in the form of information, referrals, and contact information to other local assistance programs, including government programs. 
 
Florida Department of Economic Opportunities Reemployment Assistance

Reemployment Assistance benefits are available to Floridians who were negatively impacted and experienced employment loss as a result of COVID-19. Eligible recipients are those who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own, have been quarantined by a medical professional or a government agency, or are caring for an immediate family member who is infected with COVID-19. 

Black Business Loans

The Florida  Department of Economic Opportunity and FAMU Federal Credit Union have partnered  to distribute nearly $1.1 Million dollars through the Black Business Loan Program. The program will provide loans to black owned busineses throughout the state of Florida.

Amazon Announces 500+ Full-Time Jobs For New Jacksonville Fulfillment Center

Amazon announced that it is adding a sixth facility in the Jacksonville that will create more than 500 new full-time jobs. The new fulfillment center is scheduled to open in the fall of 2021. CareerSource of Northeast Florida has partnered with Amazon to fill the positions.
