September Incidents 2021

Hurricane Ida's destructive force along the Louisiana coast and parts of the Florida Panhandle quickly led to another opportunity for the Jacksonville Fire/Rescue Department to do exactly what it does best, more specifically to render assistance whenever needed and whenever asked for: and so it came to pass that on Sunday, the 5th of September, a crew of firefighters some 25 strong along with 5 engines and other assorted apparatus departed for the staging area of Thibodaux, Louisiana. We collectively salute the team and wish everyone good luck on their mission of supporting fire suppression and other, similarly themed objectives, while local recovery efforts are underway throughout that devastated region.
