February Incidents 2016

The month began in horrific fashion for the entire JFRD family, as Firefighter Christopher Swary perished in a horrifically tragic motor vehicle accident while off-duty and traveling along the Arlington Expressway during the late evening hours of 2 February. Assigned to Engine 11, Chris was cherished by all who knew him for his congenial, affable personality and his unparalleled devotion to his family, friends and his service to both the Department and the citizens of Jacksonville. He will be forever remembered...and forever missed.
