Content
- The Special Committee shall review the findings and recommendations produced by the 2009-10 Charter Revision Commission and make recommendations to the City Council, via a report to the Rules Committee, for actions to be taken by the City Council with regard to those recommendations. Recommendations may be either in support of or in opposition to the Chaprter Revision Commission's recommendations. Recommendations for action in support of the Charter Revision Commission's recommendations may include proposals for City Charter amendments, Ordinance Code amendments, the holding of public referenda, or other actions that, in the Special Committee's judgement, would achieve the purpose of the Charter Revision Commission's recommendations.
- The Special Committee shall invite the general public's input into their decision process by means of holding one or more public hearings and by soliciting written comments.
- The Special Committee is tasked to report its findings and propose legislation, if necessary, by November 1, 2010.
